Academic Tutoring
Our flagship after-school program provides students in grades 6-12 with targeted academic assistance. We pair students with volunteer tutors based on subject matter expertise, ensuring personalized help in math, science, language arts, and more.
Sessions are held Monday through Thursday, offering a quiet, structured environment equipped with necessary supplies, computers, and internet access.
- Homework assistance and project planning
- Exam preparation and study skills development
- Post-secondary application guidance
Youth Mentorship
We believe every young person needs a reliable adult in their corner. Our mentorship program matches youth with thoroughly vetted, trained community volunteers who serve as role models, sounding boards, and advocates.
Mentors and mentees meet weekly, engaging in activities ranging from career exploration workshops to casual conversations over coffee, building long-term trusting relationships.
- Improved self-esteem and emotional regulation
- Exposure to diverse career paths and networking
- Conflict resolution and life skills coaching
Community Meals
Food insecurity is a significant barrier to learning and development. Our Community Meals program ensures that any child attending our center receives a hot, culturally appropriate, and nutritionally balanced meal.
Prepared daily in our on-site kitchen by staff and volunteers, mealtime also serves as a crucial social hour, fostering a sense of family and community among participants.
- Daily hot dinners during after-school programs
- Weekend lunch provisions
- Nutrition education and cooking workshops
Summer Programs
To combat the "summer slide" in academic skills and provide safe daytime supervision, our summer camps run for eight weeks in July and August. The program blends educational reinforcement with extensive recreational activities.
From robotics workshops to outdoor sports and arts showcases, we ensure summer remains a time of joyful discovery and continuous growth.
- STEM, Arts, and Leadership tracks
- Weekly field trips to Toronto cultural institutions
- Outdoor recreation and team-building exercises
